Time Warp Holland was happening on the 10th of December with more than 15,000 music fans from all over Europe, travelling to ‘s-Hertogenbosch to have fun at one of the most impressive festivals this winter. Here we have the short facts for all those who could not make it, and if you are one of them who was not able to be there physically, then we supply you now with some little impressions. Also you should check out the video below with some amazing images from the Netherland’s edition of Time Warp.
The most remarkable memories from the 10th of December are…:
- Techno innovator Richie Hawtin surprised with a totally new show concept. In the midst of the roaring crowd, the Canadian played on an imposing center stage, surrounded by dazzling light from more than 150 moving heads. In a perfectly coordinated choreography of illumination and sound, Hawtin offered a sensational display and spanned the gap between his DJ sets and Plastikman shows for the first time ever.
- Underworld celebrated their Time Warp debut and performing their “Born Slippy”, “Dark & Long”, “Everything, Everything”, the techno pioneers Rick Smith and Karl Hyde brought the masses fully under their influence and had the Brabanthallen quaking with a 90-minute live show. For Underworld, it was the finale of an extensive European tour and a little dress rehearsal for their appearance at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in London in 2012.
- Sven Väth impressed in front of a giant video screen, playing on the main stage in front of a massive 200 square meter video screen while hundreds of fluorescent LED balloons bathed the stage in a magical light. In conjunction with Väth’s hypnotically driving set, visuals by the video artists Pfadfinderei offered the audience breathtaking scenery.
A platform for innovation – Time Warp has not only enjoyed this reputation since this last festival. Especially in the area of lighting and video technology, Time Warp once again displayed its flair for innovation, proofing to be one of the most advanced events in the world when it comes to high-end technology in combination with creativity.
We will update you in January 2012 about the next Time Warp event taking place in Mannheim again.
