Playa del Carmen, Mexico, is getting ready for the 6th edition of BPM festival with the strongest festival line up to date and a huge number of day and night events spread over several square kilometres along the sunny shores of the Riviera Maya.
More than 30.000 visitors are expected at BPM from the 4th to the 13th of January 2013 to party at multiple locations as restaurants, bars, lounges and beach clubs (such as Kool Beach, La Santanera, Blue Parrot, Alux Cave, Coco Maia just to name a view) which are preparing their programme for the 10 days, featuring more than 150 DJs and producers.
The world’s most established record labels as Toolroom Records, Minus, Sci Tec, Viva Music, Cadenza, Desolat, Innervisions, Crosstown Rebels and party brands like Circoloco are one more time presenting their artists at this massive gathering, showcasing their latest releases and music to industry networkers and enthusiastic electronic music lovers.
Playa del Carmen is a city and a tourist destination in the center of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. Located on the Mexican Caribbean coast, known as the Riviera Maya, it is 70 miles south of Cancun, about half way to Tulum on the highway Carretera 307.
What makes the BPM festival special is the combination of headliners as Danny Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Dubfire, Luciano, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin and Sven Väth, performing open air for an international crowd at the most stunning venues around the touristic resort of Playa del Carmen, tucked into the coastline of the Mayan peninsula, the turquoise Caribbean waters, sandy beaches, mysterious jungles and ancient ruins.
